2018 AGM

The AGM for 2018 will be held in the GAA Club on Sunday 11th Feb at 8pm. Any motions for change and nominations for election to the committee must be brought to a member of the committee by Sunday 4th Feb. We hope you can all attend the meeting. We will be running the postponed Turkey Shoot outing on Sun 11th February at Millicent GC (before the AGM). Tee time: 11:45. Price: €30. Visitors welcome.

2017 AGM

Confey GAA Golf Society AGM for 2017 will be held in the GAA Club on Friday 3rd Feb at 8.30pm. Any motions for change and nominations for election to the committee must be with the Secretary (directly or via a committee member) by Friday 27th Jan. We hope you can all attend the meeting.

Match play finals

The finals of the 2016 Match play and Shield competitions took place on Sun 9 October in Palmerstown House GC. Liam Corscadden beat Andrew Errity to become the match play champion and Jimmy Nolan defeated Tom Kililea to win the shield. Congrats to all four finalists.

Captain’s Day 2016

Congratulations to Dave Lambert who won Robert Tobin’s Captain’s Prize with a super score of 37 points in Lucan GC on Friday 26th August 2016. There was a great turn-out on the day which was matched by excellent weather for the occasion. Well done to all players particularly the prize winners on the day.

President’s Prize

Thanks to all who played in the President’s Prize on June 3rd. We got great weather and an equally good course. Congrats to Vice Captain Des Connolly who won (for the second year running!) with a great score of 32 pts and also featured in the 2’s club. Other prize winners were: 2nd – Pat Nolan 3rd – Andy Errity 4th – Bill Delaney Visitor – Brian Mc Tiernan 2’s – Des Connolly, Tom Foley, Jim Ward (v)

Knightsbrook outing

Well done to Jimmy Nolan who won the Knightsbrook outing with a great score of 31 pts. Congrats also to all the class winners and our visitor Brian Dowd on his 2’s club win. There was a terrific turnout of 36 golfers on the day, many of whom likely went home with a sunburn given the glorious weather we were lucky enough to enjoy!
