The AGM was held on Friday Feb 5th. Outgoing Captain Andrew Errity welcomed the 2016 Captain Robert Tobin who in turn nominated Des Connolly as his Vice Captain. Frank Keating and Dermot Walsh both stepped down from the committee – the members thank them for their time, in particular Dermot who has acted as Secretary for a number of years. David Lawless and David Lambert were nominated and voted in as new committee members. Best of luck to the new Captain and all members for the 2016 golf year.
Congrats to Dermot Walsh, winner of this year’s turkey shoot. Dermot had a great score of 22 pts over 12 holes on a wet and windy day in Corballis GC.
Well done to Eamon Fennelly who won the Druids Heath outing on October 24th with a great score of 29 pts.
Congrats to Des Connolly, 2015 Matchplay winner, who beat Martin Gallagher in the final on October 4th on the O’Meara Course at Carton House. Well done to Bill Delaney who got the better of Dan Gorman in the Shield final. Thanks to Des Connolly for organising the Matchplay and Shield competitions this year. Looking forward to another set of great matchplay matches in 2016.
Folowing our Captains Day and based on best 5 scores our Golfer of the Year for 2015 is David Lawless with a total of 162pts. Our Captain, Andy Errity was in second place with 155pts and Andy Mason in 3rd with 154pts. Well done to all.
Congratulations to Robert Tobin, winner of the 2015 Captain’s Prize. Robert shot a great score of 36 pts around Luttrellstown Golf Course in a mix of weather conditions varying from blazing sunshine to thunderstorms. Many thanks to all the members who supported the event.
Congratulations to Dessie Connolly on winning Joe Fallon’s Presidents Prize with a great score of 39pts on Friday 29th May at Palmerstown Stud GC. A great turnout on the day of over 40 players on a great golf course.
Congratulations to Stephen Murphy, our first winner in 2015. Stephen posted a good score in tough, windy conditions in Millicent GC on Sun 22nd Feb to seal the victory. Well done to Gerry Dunne who was just edged out of the win and finished in second place on count-back.

Congratulations to Martin Gallagher the 2014 Golfer of the Year. Martin had a combined score of 163 pts over his best 5 rounds up to and including Captain’s Day. That’s an average of 32.6 pts per round – solid shooting Martin!
